About

More than an awards ceremony

Established in 2011 as the first hip hop awards platform on the African continent, ZHHA is a movement that honours artistic achievement, nurtures emerging talent and creates opportunity across the culture.

Who we are

The Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards

The Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards (ZHHA) is the country's premier platform dedicated to recognising, celebrating and advancing excellence in Zimbabwean hip hop culture. Established in 2011 as the first hip hop awards platform on the African continent, ZHHA has become more than an annual awards ceremony — it is a movement that honours artistic achievement, nurtures emerging talent, and creates opportunities for artists, producers, media, brands and fans to shape the future of the culture.

Through year-round initiatives, strategic partnerships and innovative marketing platforms, ZHHA continues to elevate Zimbabwean hip hop onto regional and international stages while preserving its authentic voice and inspiring the next generation of creatives.

The Awards pay tribute to musical excellence and creativity, providing a high-profile and multi-faceted celebration of the rich cultural diversity of Zimbabwean hip hop music.

As the leading authority of Zimbabwe hip hop culture, and one of Africa's first and most prestigious hip hop awards properties, our mission is to use elements of popular youth culture and media to inspire, motivate and empower young people by acknowledging and celebrating local artists in their respective genres. Having come this far, ZHHA will continue to celebrate over a decade of hip hop industry achievement in glitz and glam.
